		<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m reading Foer&#039;s book right now, and I also really appreciated his exploration of the cultural context of food. I&#039;ve ended up &quot;kinda vegan&quot; (or a vegan-leaning vegetarian) as well... learning more factory farming and developing lactose intolerance definitely pushed me in that direction!

I think it&#039;s also worth noting that a lot of crop production can be damaging to the environment as well, in ways that affect plants, animals, and people. On the consumption side, it ultimately comes down to picking your battles. :)]]></description>
